What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOH Manager position at Uncle Joe's Pizzeria?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the front of house area, including the dining room, bar, and host/host station
- Ensure excellent customer service by training and supervising front of house staff
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize customer flow
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food delivery and quality control
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and alcohol service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Proficient in inventory control and ordering procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
