Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within our residential and commercial properties. The role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Clean and maintain high-traffic areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
- Use industrial cleaning equipment to clean hard-to-reach areas and surfaces
- Use specialized cleaning solutions to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of various surfaces
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of facilities, including storage areas and supply closets
- Perform porter duties, including setting up meeting rooms and delivering supplies
- Perform facilities maintenance tasks, including painting and buffing
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve cleaning goals
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning and floor care techniques
- Experience with commercial cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance and custodial tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
