Job Summary:
Join our team as a Sanitation Supervisor and play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our manufacturing facility. You will lead and manage a sanitation team, ensuring compliance with all sanitation processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to motivate a team while upholding safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee all aspects of night and weekend sanitation operations.
· Monitor the Pre-Operational (Pre-Op) process to ensure compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
· Supervise sanitation activities to ensure completion, inspection, and cleanliness, including the removal of tools and materials from cleaned areas.
· Implement corporate sanitation policies and track the Master Sanitation Schedule.
· Develop sanitation procedures for new equipment in collaboration with plant management.
· Train plant personnel on food safety, personnel safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and facility rules.
· Enforce administrative policies, SQF practices, and safety policies regarding sanitation and chemical usage.
· Ensure proper operation of lift equipment by licensed sanitation employees.
· Lead and mentor sanitation staff to meet performance standards and foster a positive team environment.
· Communicate effectively within the sanitation team and with other departments.
· Review, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Assist with staff scheduling, including work assignments, training, vacation coverage, and overtime planning.
· Complete all required documentation and maintain records.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent relevant work experience.
· Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and work with employees at all organizational levels.
· Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
· Previous experience with high-temperature fryers, packaging equipment, conveyors, and sanitation systems is preferred.
· Sanitation Supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
