About the Role
An industrial manufacturing company serving infrastructure and construction needs across California is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and optimize its sales team. This role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for managing Sales Engineers and the broader sales team, including estimators, marketing, business development, and CRM analysts. The company specializes in everything from sheet metal fabrication to large steel projects and has an extensive pipeline of existing quotes that need to be closed. The ideal candidate is a closer—someone who can prioritize and secure existing deals while driving new business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Sales Engineers and the sales team, ensuring performance and accountability.
- Oversee estimators, marketing team, business development, and CRM analysts.
- Recruit, train, and develop both sales professionals and sales support staff.
- Drive new business development while nurturing existing client relationships.
- Prioritize and close open quotes above $10,000.
- Implement and oversee CRM systems (PipeDrive, HubSpot, SalesMight.io).
- Ensure sales processes are efficient and aligned with company growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a closer—able to prioritize, follow up, and close deals efficiently.
- Experience leading and managing a sales team in a B2B or industrial sales environment.
- Strong CRM experience (PipeDrive, HubSpot, SalesMight.io).
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Technical or mechanical engineering knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and interpret technical drawings for client discussions.
