Brief Description of Job (Purpose):
Operate a Medi-van equipped to provide nonemergency transport of mobility- impaired individuals by accommodating wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers and offering safe custom transportation to medical appointments and treatments.
Key Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):
- Pick up patients from their homes or other facilities.
- Pick up patients from their homes or other facilities.
- Utilizing safe procedures, assist patients and caregivers on board the vehicle safely.
- Properly securely fastened wheelchairs and passengers before starting the van.
- Depending on the route, multiple patients may be picked up for a shared destination.
- Help patients exit the van and reach the appropriate offices or treatment areas upon arrival to the facility.
- Immediately alert emergency personnel and the dispatcher if specialized assistance is required.
- Provide first aid or CPR if needed during patient transport as appropriate and within scope of certification.

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Experience Requirements:
- Must successfully pass a drug screen and physical assessment based on essential job functions.
- Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Fluency in English required.
- Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Satisfactory completion of a company training program in passenger assistance techniques, sensitivity training, and map reading, or demonstrated competence based on previous employment experience.
- Satisfactory completion of CPR within 6 weeks of hire.
- Training in first aid and seizure training preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
