Uncompahgre Medical Center seeks a motivated QA/QI Assistant to support our quality assurance and improvement processes in the healthcare clinic setting. This role is vital in tracking data, reporting, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. You’ll work cross-functionally with clinical teams, leadership, and partners to drive quality initiatives and support patient care excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality management systems and a commitment to maintaining excellence in all aspects of production.
Duties
- Prepare and manage QA/QI reports, data analysis, and health plan/grant submissions.
- Monitor compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and lead projects such as PCMH recertification and UDS submissions.
- Maintain accurate data reporting and tracking, including PDSA cycles and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with teams on patient experience initiatives and social determinants of health.
- Support remote patient monitoring, care coordination, and other quality programs.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Support the development and execution of QA/QI processes to enhance reliability and safety.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in the preparation for external audits related to quality systems.
Qualifications
- Preferred Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in an office setting; healthcare knowledge preferred
- Strong writing, reporting, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data tools, and EHR systems
- Knowledge of QA/QI processes, healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission), and performance measurement
- Excellent critical thinking and project management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting findings clearly.
- Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience in a quality assurance role or related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Background and TB screening required.
- Exposure to healthcare environments and quality data systems.
