Our café that blends high-quality coffee and matcha with flavors inspired by Mexican and Japanese cuisine. In addition to our unique menu, we serve as a creative space for art and culture in the Greenpoint community.

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Part-Time Baker who’s passionate about creating fresh, flavorful baked goods. Our menu features a variety of items, from fresh bread and pastries to creative offerings like onigiri and Mexican-Japanese fusion treats. If you love baking, enjoy experimenting with flavors, and want to be part of a collaborative, dynamic team, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes
• Assist in developing new baked items inspired by Mexican and Japanese flavors
• Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety guidelines
• Manage baking schedules to ensure fresh products are available daily
• Assist with inventory management and restocking ingredients

Qualifications:

• Previous baking experience in a professional kitchen or café required
• Knowledge of baking techniques and familiarity with bread-making processes
• Ability to follow recipes while also bringing creative input to the menu
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with Mexican or Japanese baking traditions is a plus

Schedule & Availability:

• Part-time position (mornings)
• Flexible schedule preferred, including weekends
• Early morning availability is required
