POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician 1 will be responsible for building maintenance and a range of basic repairs. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and maintaining small tools and equipment. This individual will join our day shift maintenance team.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Complete building maintenance and repairs (restrooms, lighting, HVAC systems, painting, and pneumatic systems).
Troubleshoot and maintain small tools and equipment.
Partner with Maintenance Tech II for preventative maintenance (PM). This could include changing filters, oiling parts, minor electrical repairs, etc.
Assist in building new fixtures, office equipment, and other necessary tasks.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Support facilities team as needed to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines required.
Previous forklift experience preferred.
Required Licenses
None.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Basic computer skills, ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is subject to Heavy Work : Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
