We’re looking for a Director of Analytics to lead our Commercial Analytics team. In this role, you will directly manage a team of analysts, collaborating with stakeholders to design data-driven solutions that support Finance, Accounting, Fraud, Payments, Legal, Compliance, and Responsible Gaming. You’ll address challenges such as maintaining a single-source-of-truth for business and financial data, empowering the finance and accounting teams with self-serve analytics tools, enhancing fraud detection, streamlining payments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting responsible gaming practices. - Lead and Develop the Team:
- Manage and grow a team of analysts by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and fostering an environment of professional growth and collaboration.
- Partner with your team to design and execute development plans tailored to their skills and career aspirations.
- Encourage a culture of ownership and accountability by enabling analysts to take the lead on projects aligned with business needs.
- Deliver Actionable Insights:
- Partner with leaders across Finance, Accounting, Fraud, Payments, Legal, Compliance, and Responsible Gaming to identify operational challenges and deliver actionable solutions.
- Conduct analyses to uncover trends, mitigate risks, and improve efficiency across critical commercial areas.
- Build Scalable Analytics Frameworks:
- Define and track KPIs relevant to commercial functions, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Establish scalable reporting solutions that provide real-time data visibility and empower teams to make informed decisions.
- Streamline processes for ad-hoc requests, balancing flexibility with operational efficiency.
- Enable Self-Serve Analytics:
- Build and maintain curated data models that empower Finance, Accounting, Fraud, and Payments teams to independently uncover insights and perform scenario analyses.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, training sessions, and support resources to enable stakeholders to confidently explore and utilize self-serve analytics tools.
Who you are:
- Experienced Leader: You have 10 years of experience in analytics or a related field, with at least 4 years managing teams. You thrive on coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams.
- Technically Proficient: You have strong SQL skills and are experienced with tools such as dbt, Looker, Sigma, or Tableau. Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R is a plus.
- Detail-Oriented and Business-Focused: You excel at translating business problems into analytical solutions and building tools that drive meaningful outcomes.
- Collaborative Problem Solver: You enjoy working cross-functionally and have a track record of developing practical solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
- Impact-Driven: You focus on delivering results that directly influence business performance, especially in commercial and operational contexts.
Even better if you have:
- A background in corporate finance or accounting, with expertise in financial workflows and scenario planning.
- Proven experience thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments within consumer tech, real money gaming, or financial services.
- Specialized knowledge in fraud detection, compliance, or payment systems.
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining data models or frameworks optimized for commercial use cases.
- Strong ability to juggle competing priorities and lead multiple high-impact projects effectively.
Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $208,000 and $235,000, plus target equity. The starting base salary will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills and experience, among other things.
