The Financial Risk and Governance (FR&G) team is responsible for identifying, measuring,
monitoring, and controlling market, liquidity, and stress testing risks related to clearing and
settlement processes. FR&G ensures adherence to rigorous organizational and regulatory
standards, working closely with Quantitative Risk Management and Counterparty Credit Risk
teams to maintain a comprehensive financial risk management framework.
The Market Risk team monitors daily margin calculations, manages market and liquidity risk
exposures, oversees risk systems enhancements, and ensures compliance with risk policies
and procedures. This role requires expertise in margin methodologies, equity financial markets,
and client risk profiles, with a strong focus on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities:
● Lead a team of equity market risk associates and analysts across global offices.
● Review, evaluate, and approve daily risk assessments to ensure accuracy and
compliance.
● Monitor market conditions and economic trends to anticipate potential risks.
● Assess members' market risk exposures, liquidity needs, and settlement obligations,
providing mitigation strategies.
● Ensure adherence to policies and procedures while identifying potential model or
reporting errors.
● Manage internal audits, regulatory exams, and risk assessments, collaborating on
remediation plans.
● Drive process enhancements and support new and existing products to mitigate
emerging risks.
Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
● Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
● Deep understanding of equity markets and financial products related to clearing and
settlement.
● Strong leadership, risk management, and analytical skills.
● Ability to collaborate across teams and drive strategic initiatives.
This hybrid role is based in Jersey City and requires expertise in financial risk management,
regulatory compliance, and market risk assessment.
