We are looking for motivated individuals who are leadership focused and results driven for our Assistant Manager Position. A candidate will work with our store manager and ownership directly, learning key facets of the business: designing gaming community events, providing and maintaining outstanding guest experiences, overseeing operations of the store and ensuring maximum sales and profitability, managing and developing store team members, product display and inventory control, maintaining professional employee relations, and working with company leadership to make our locations the best places to play!

Card and RPG Specialist:
We are a gaming center, and games like MTG, Lorcanna, Star Wars, and other RPGs are a staple of our community play! While it is not necessary to know the games, if you are an expert, please let us know when applying! A main facet of this role is being an outstanding Event Developer, experience in driving gaming events is high encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Host gaming events, ranging from casual weekly, to out of store community events such as: Underhills Used Games Flea Market, Trade/Bazaar Days, and others!
  • Promote and Conduct special gaming events or new releases
  • Work with our Store Manager to provide excellent customer service, display expert product knowledge, and provide the best place to game and shop.
  • Work with our Store Manager to meet monthly sales goals and profitability achievement
  • Assist store leadership with brand awareness through Marketing and social media.
  • Assist with Inventory Management.
  • Ensuring overall store operational success
  • Support company and management initiatives and direction while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Prioritize tasks with an attention to detail while ensuring a customer first focus.
  • Ensure Loss Prevention awareness to protect the store from internal and external shortages.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience in retail or customer focused industry.
  • Outgoing personality and ability to engage with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve individual selling goals as well as train employees to be effective salespeople.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong personal leadership skills and desire to succeed.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Schedule flexibility with the ability to work nights and weekends.

  • Event Development – can demonstrate the ability to craft gaming events that will drive repeat customers into our gaming center
  • Team Developer – can demonstrate the ability to develop our #1 asset, our team members! Provides timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem.
  • Guest Loyalty Developer – Effectively meets guest needs; builds productive guest relationships; takes responsibility for guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Results Driven Mindset – Effective communication with company leadership on store goals; tenaciously works to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
