Responsible for providing leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the building and grounds are operating efficiently. Maintains departmental records, logs, and files, answers and directs telephone calls and questions. Maintains professional relations with vendors, suppliers, outside contractors and government officials. Ensures that the facility is maintained at a high level, snow removal is performed in a timely manner when needed, and cleanliness and safety standards are upheld. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Supervises Maintenance associates to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is of the highest quality
- Interfaces with all department managers to keep informed of their equipment needs and maintenance requirements
- Communicates with Risk Management, Construction and other corporate departments regarding equipment and facility maintenance and regulatory issues
- Prepares quarterly and annual operating budget, capital expense budget, and conducts annual asset inventory count and audit
- Effectively manages labor budget and other controllable costs
- Works with outside sales representatives and inspectors
- Maintains responsibility for pallet repair program
- Effectively manages labor budget and other controllable costs
- Complies with and maintains accurate records for all regulatory requirements and Company programs, policies and procedures
- Plans, schedules, and completes projects for facility improvement per projections
- Purchases parts and materials for maintenance purposes as required
- 3 - 5 years of experience in maintenance in a distribution center or manufacturing setting
- 3 - 5 years supervisory and management experience
- Experience with maintenance on power industrial equipment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel and Power Point necessary
- Excellent understanding of facility management procedures
- Able to use all related maintenance equipment
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
