Purpose:
The FP&A Analyst II is responsible for providing financial support for critical areas and time-bound processes such as the annual budget, periodic forecasts and the month-end close cycle. Assists in the preparation of various financial activities including data gathering, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning and reporting. Collects information from various areas across the company to assist in the building of models to provide insight to underlying business dynamics

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares and reviews accurate and timely financial and business-related analyses, research, and forecasts.
- Compiles and prepares accurate and timely reports. Able to convey information in a meaningful way utilizing tables, graphs, and charts.
- Collects and synthesizes information from various areas across the company, builds models to provide insight to underlying business dynamics, creates written presentations and participates in business reviews.
- Develops and prepares various analytical and statistical reports in support of the business activities.
- Develops, interprets, analyzes and implements complex business strategies.
- Provides support to the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting of the assigned business area including variance analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Leads special financial and business-related studies as needed to support project objectives
- Conducts analysis of alternatives, recommendations and research from multiple sources
Job Requirements: Education/ Certifications/Experience: (Required & Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field.
- 3-5 years FP&A experience required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and related software applications.
- Experience with data visualization tools ie. Tableau, Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with TM1 Financial Reporting & Planning tools is a plus.
Other Skills/ Abilities:
- Ability to be a team member and demonstrate skills to contribute to team dynamics.
- Outstanding analytical skills (numerical, verbal)
- Strong Strategic Planning, Financial and Operations / Business Background. Not purely financial background required.
- Financial modeling experience.
- Budgeting and forecasting experience a plus
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Work Environment: Remote Role:
This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.
