What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fresh Buyer I - Meat position at UNFI?
Purpose:
Conduct replenishment buying of Fresh Category items, identifying potential new items, maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with DC Sales and Fresh Category Management Teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct inventory replenishment duties of Fresh inventory for
- Maintain regular communication with sales team members on new
- Establish a network of colleagues from each division, responsible for
practices.15%
- Conduct data entry into purchasing system for pricing, promotions and
- Expand business with existing customer base and develop strong
- For new product review and consideration, make recommendations to
program.25%
- Performs other relevant job duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience
Experience:
- 0-3 years related experience in replenishment Buying
- Previous direct responsibility for perishables inventory management, organics and natural products
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Ability to become Fresh product expert
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
