Job Overview
The Warehouse Selector plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of customer orders within the warehouse. This individual must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect assigned equipment for safety issues
- Identify the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance with the order
- Shrink wrap and label pallets with the correct truck, stop, and other required information
- Stage pallets in the appropriate bay throughout the warehouse
- Listen for first and last call and obtain all out-of-stocks in a timely manner
- Inform a foreman, supervisor, or manager of any potential safety threats
- Operate pallet jack/pushcart in a safe and efficient manner
- Build a stable and well-cubed pallet
- Park and recharge pallet jack in its designated spot at the end of your shift
Requirements:
- Understanding of safety guidelines
- Warehouse/operations preferred but not required
- Ability to select at an established minimum rate for the department
- Understand and properly follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions in your respective area: grocery, repack, cooler/freezer
- Possess an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
