Studio Job Descriptions WAXER Reports to: Franchisee/Studio Manager, or other individual designated by the Franchisee/Manager

Role within the Studio: The Waxer works closely with the CEC and Lab Assistant in order to perform waxing services that exceed customer expectations. They only follow techniques and procedures which they have learned at Uni K Wax University. They have can speak confidently about our Elastikwax, and K Beauty retail products based on their ample knowledge. They are Uni K Wax Brand Ambassadors who build rapport with customers by addressing concerns, answering questions and making them feel valued.

Experience: Not required.

Licenses: Valid New York State license required (such as cosmetology, skin care specialist, waxing, esthetician, etc.). Check with your state’s Board of Cosmetology to verify license status. Also, K University certification after completion of the UKW training program.

Description:

The Waxer will be able and willing to perform all professional waxing services offered by Uni K Wax Studios to both male and female customers (including Teens) without exception; all while adhering to the Uni K Wax technique, processes, policies and procedures.

The Waxer must possess excellent customer service and communication skills and promote the brand. They demonstrate the ability to consistently follow established procedures and show impeccable attention to detail.

They answer customers questions and concerns professionally and truthfully. They educate their customers on our Wax and technique. Waxers remain positive during interactions with customers and stay upbeat and energetic even while working in a fast-paced environment.

Waxers uphold Uni K Wax Brand Standards at all times.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Arrive 15 minutes before shift (used to prepare for the day)

• Perform waxing services which result in no hairs left and no Wax residue left

• Be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment.

• Be prompt when paged by receptionist

• Provide CEC with estimate of time remaining when paged in regard to a customer waiting

• Complete services within the stipulated service times

• Evaluate their customer’s skin care needs and offer Sense retail products

• Provide the CEC with customer’s recommendation slip of Sense retail products

• Clean floor, walls, waxing bed, cart and bottles between customers appointments

• Remove wax warmer and trash can after every service from the Waxing room

• Discard wax and trash left over from each service in Lab

• Leave room clean, neat and organized at the end of shift

• Attend all Studio meeting and training sessions

• Able and willing to work flexible hours, weekend and holidays

• Work well with all members of the Studio promoting a positive environment

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Wear a clean, wrinkle free uniform, and wear shoe covers at all times while in the Studio

• Understands the Uni K Wax Studio concept, products, and procedures

• Speak and act in a professional manner at all times while in the Studio

• Maintain hallways, reception area, and waiting area free of disruption

• Limit cell phone use only to break area

Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Available to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays

Fluent in English.
