Position Summary:
The Junior Engineer is an entry-level engineering professional who assists in designing, analyzing, testing, and maintaining projects or systems under the guidance of senior engineers. It’s a role that helps you build foundational skills and gain hands-on experience in your field.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in creating CAD models and detailed engineering drawings of aircraft components.
- Work on structural, aerodynamic, propulsion, or systems design based on project needs.
- Prepare engineering reports, user manuals, or project summaries.
- Collect and analyze test data to verify designs meet safety and performance requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Undergo training to understand company tools, workflows, and industry standards.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in aerospace.
- Advise staff on the development of design solutions, technical drawings, manufacturing processes and design changes.
- Collaborate with engineering staff with detailed review of complex hydraulic/Electromechanical setups and assess the repair station’s capability to complete customer requirements.
- Determine, source, procure and design all relevant tooling and equipment required for repair of the aircraft article.
- Review and interpret blueprints and approved tech data (ex. CMM, SRM, SOPM, SPM) to plan, evaluate, develop and generate instructions and other process documentation to meet specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering staff to develop and implement process control techniques and procedures to ensure all products meet their relevant specifications.
- Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Additional projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) or other related field from an accredited college required.
- U.S. person or lawful permanent resident (green card holder) preferred due to ITAR regulations.
- Proven problem-solving skills within a diverse workforce and team environment.
- Willingness to perform “hands-on” work in a dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to demonstrate logical reasoning, decision making, and attention to detail required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in engineering is preferred.
- Experience with SolidWorks, or AutoCAD design software and MS Office products required.

Up to 10% Travel may be required

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Working Conditions:
Work Environment: 50% office.
50% shop floor (visit repair stations, teardown facilities).
Salary : $67,150 - $73,850
