Unicare is currently seeking a Full Time compassionate and friendly general Dentist to join our team in our Los Angeles Health Center located in the Westlake neighborhood of Central L.A. The Staff Dentist will be responsible for providing clinical dental care in a community health center setting. The Staff Dentist supervises the dental assistant and dental hygienists of the community health center in the absence of the dental director.

The Staff Dentist supervises the dental assistant and dental hygienists of the community health center in the absence of the dental director.
Requirements:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Current CA dental license in good standing
- Current DEA license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to perform all aspects of general dentistry with integrity
- Comfortable performing pediatric and hygiene procedures
- Ability to learn and use electronic health records
- Experience in a community clinic or public health setting preferred
- Examines individuals requesting care, diagnoses their dental/oral conditions, prescribes and carries out, or directs others in carrying out, appropriate dental/oral treatment, or refers individuals for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Educates individuals in the nature of oral health related conditions and in the general promotion of oral health related disease prevention
- Travels when necessary to fulfill the corporations needs and attends meeting as necessary to represent the corporation and/or the dental department
- Responsible for personal full compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and Unicare rules, regulations, protocols and procedures governing the practice of dentistry.
