What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer position at Unico Bank?
Unico Bank in Potosi is hiring for a Loan Officer. We are looking for a person to join our fast paced, team centered environment, where teamwork and attention to detail are highly valued.
Other than Main Duties, Here are Some Responsibilities:
- Oversees the staff that does the paperwork for mortgage applications
- Verifies the information provided on applications to obtain more information if missing data or mistakes are present
- Communicates with customers to help them choose the best loan
- Collects data from customers, such as their assets, salaries, debts and employment status
- Reviews file documentation for missing information
- Verifies information about applicant history with credit bureaus and other agencies so the lender can approve or deny the loan
- Remains aware of loan application deadlines and informs customers about them
Education, Experience and Required Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Two or more years’ experience in loan operations and loan closing environment
· Strong interpersonal communication and relationship management skills
· Ability to prioritize initiatives and duties
· Ability to meet deadlines and follow directions in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
· Familiarity with commercial, consumer, and mortgage loan documents
