What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Unicoi State Park & Lodge?
Seasonal Role (March 2025 - October 2025) with potential to become permanent based on performance.
**Summary:**
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef and/or Kitchen Supervisor, the Line Cook prepares, seasons, and cooks a variety of food items for Unicoi State Park and Lodge.
**Qualifications:**
To succeed in this role, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
**Essential Functions:**
- Estimate food requirements and order or procure food items
- Regulate cooking equipment temperatures
- Prepare and cook a range of dishes according to recipes
- Carve, portion, and garnish food items
- Prepare fruits and vegetables for use
- Follow food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
- Ensure food quality and appearance according to recipes
- Report safety hazards, injuries, and accidents
- Properly label, date, and store food items
- Foster a positive work environment

**Education and/or Experience:**
High school diploma or equivalent and three to six months of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
