**Job Summary:**
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Park Manager plans and coordinates activities, organizes processes, and develops procedures to manage the administrative aspects of the park at Unicoi State Park & Lodge.
**Qualifications:**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Park Manager is required to live on-site, be on call for park emergencies, and ensure upkeep through regular inspections.
**Responsibilities:**
- Meet or exceed budgeted financial goals
- Understand all opening and closing procedures for the park
- Design, promote, and implement educational programs and events
- Oversee ground maintenance and all aspects of the park
- Maintain relationships with vendors and oversee staff scheduling
- Purchase necessary supplies and provide staff training
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
Directly supervise 10 to 15 employees in the park, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisals.
**Competencies:**
Demonstrate competencies in design, problem-solving, project management, technical skills, customer service, teamwork, and more.
**Education and Experience:**
Associate's degree or equivalent experience is required for this role.
**Language Skills:**
Ability to read, write, and speak effectively before groups and stakeholders.
**Mathematical Skills:**
Strong mathematical abilities including calculations and data interpretation.
**Reasoning Ability:**
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and interpret various forms of information.
**Physical Demands:**
Frequently stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical tasks.
**Work Environment:**
