**Job Summary:**
The Utility/Dishwasher maintains cleanliness and sanitation of tableware, cookware, and glassware in the kitchen area. This position is primarily in the evenings and includes weekends.
**Responsibilities:**
- Report to work on time and in uniform for each scheduled shift.
- Present a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
- Eliminate safety hazards and report all injuries and accidents to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Follow daily checklists and ensure work is completed before leaving.
- Clean all glassware, dishes, and table utensils using proper procedures.
- Clean cookware and presentation pieces for use by kitchen associates.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, mop room, and chemical storage.
- Safely and properly store glassware, dishes, and table utensils as designated.
- Properly store all clean cooking utensils and vessels on racks and in drawers as designated.
- Keep floors swept and dry at all times using Wet Floor warning signs.
- Remove trash, recyclables, waste oil, and discard in proper receptacles.
- Control breakage of dishes, glass, and table utensils.
- Follow the "Clean as you go" policy at all times.
- Adhere to safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in kitchen, dish room, ware washing areas, and banquet service aisles.
- Break down trays, set up dish machine and washing sinks.
- Empty trash cans, wash inside and out.
- Thoroughly clean dock area, walls, and baseboards in kitchen areas.
- Clean freight elevator.
- Set up and break down the Associate Breakroom.
- Assist waitstaff with clearing and cleaning tables in the restaurant.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards the job and workplace.
- Maintain a safe work attitude and conduct all duties safely, reporting accidents immediately.
- Foster positive working relationships with other associates.
- Accomplish reasonable management requests within capabilities.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
