The Downstream Manufacturing Scientist will execute mammalian cell culture purification to produce recombinant proteins for biosimilars, working with volumes ranging from 50L to 2000L in a cGMP environment. This role requires technical expertise in AKTA purification skids, TFF systems, and familiarity with batch records, protocols, and investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform downstream processes (column packing, process troubleshooting, data analysis) in a cGMP environment.
- Lead purification for engineering, clinical, and commercial batches.
- Operate and maintain purification systems; establish equipment specs and improve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct investigations, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.
- Collaborate with teams and vendors; handle documentation and batch execution issues.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in chemical, biological, or biochemical sciences.
- Experience: 4-5 years in biopharmaceuticals, GMP, and aseptic environments.
- Expertise with AKTA skids, single-use consumables, and engineering/clinical batch execution.
- Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of GMP documentation, cleaning validation, and compliance.

- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work flexible hours; occasional travel may be required.
