Position: Tire Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The primary function of this position is to expedite the incoming and outgoing freight including stocking, pulling, and staging. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with good organizational skills. They will be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing tire labels/tread variances accurately and rapidly. Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with coworkers and manager) as well as good general math skills are a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Pull and pre-stage orders for shipment
- Load and unload containers ensuring the accuracy of freight
- Operate a propane forklift and squeeze clamp as needed to perform daily tasks
- Organize tires and maintain inventory
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
- Receive, unload, and place incoming shipments appropriately
- Adhere to all company safety regulations
- Keep warehouse clean and organized on a daily basis
- Assemble and repair racks as needed
Preferred Skills
- Accurately and promptly process incoming and outgoing stock orders, and customer returns to sustain a consistent workflow.
- Maintain the ability to handle job stress and effective interaction with others in the workplace.
- Knowledge and competency in the utilization of a hand held scanner or RF scan gun.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and move about facilities.
- Lift / carry by hand, freight weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Push/pull products of excessive weight using propane forklift and/or squeeze clamp.
- Work both independently and in a team environment.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Will work in extreme weather conditions (Heat or Cold).

Experience:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
- 1-3 years in a tire distribution center/warehouse experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of safety compliance/requirements.
- Basic computer skills/knowledge.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with occasional Saturdays as needed for inventory.
- Maintain regular attendance and timeliness.
