Summary
UnidosUS, the largest national Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, seeks a Social Media Video Editing Intern for its Creative Studio (UCS) team. This is a part-time non-exempt three-month internship reporting to the Creative & Editorial Senior Director and will work with the Creative Studio team assisting with producing engaging, easy-to-digest video content for UnidosUS’s social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The Social Media Video Editing Intern will collaborate with the content and digital teams to support video strategies that enhance the UnidosUS brand and resonate with the Latino community.
Qualified candidates should have experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects, as well as skills in shooting content using mobile devices and DSLR cameras. A passion for storytelling and innovative video editing techniques, along with the ability to transform complex ideas into visually compelling content, is crucial. The role also includes supporting the development of a YouTube strategy through UnidosUS’s in-house video lab for content capture.

Essential Functions
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the creative video lab to ensure an efficient workflow for audio and video content capture.
- Help establish and implement a YouTube strategy by leveraging the video lab to produce engaging content that broadens.
- Conceptualize, edit, and produce high-quality short-form videos optimized for social media platforms while ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
- Record and capture video content using DSLR cameras and mobile devices to support various UnidosUS campaigns and initiatives.
- Support editing and adding motion graphics, captions, and visual effects using Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects.
- Support the marketing and digital teams in developing content ideas and video storytelling strategies that align with UnidosUS’s mission.
- Assist setting up the recording and audio studio. This will include, organizing the equipment and moving boxes.
Education and Experience
- Must be a college Sophomore, Junior or Senior enrolled in a Communications, Visual Communications, Multimedia Journalism, or related program.
- Strong understanding of social media video formats and best practices for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Experience in video editing and motion.
- Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of the Latino community.
- Spanish fluency (oral) skills.

- Frequently required to use video equipment, including cameras, microphones, and lighting gear.

- Occasionally required to work in a fast-paced, on-location production setting.
- The noise level in the work environment may vary from quiet (office setting) to moderate (on-location video shoots).
