Job Overview
As an Airport Ground Support Agent at Unifi, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of airport ground support services. Your primary responsibility will be to handle customer aircraft, baggage, air cargo, and airmail in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading Aircraft: Safely load and unload passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts.
- Operating Pushback Equipment: Ensure that pushback equipment is clear of any obstacles and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers at all times.
- Recording Customer Baggage: Accurately receive and record customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials as required.
- Transporting Cargo and Baggage: Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, preparing records in connection with these responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Local residency is mandatory.
- Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 is required.
- Completion of ramp and SIDA training is necessary to obtain airport authority identification security.
- Effective communication skills are essential for communicating information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment.
