UBT is looking for a full-time Construction Project Manager , to join our dynamic design team!
Job Summary :
As a Project Manager in Commercial Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of construction projects, from initiation to completion. Your primary focus will be on ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
The Construction Project Manager shall perform all activities with construction project management to ensure NEXCOM facility project requirements are developed, coordinated and meet NEXCOM business and operational needs.
Location : Virginia Beach, VA including travel to Hampton Roads area installations, including Norfolk, Little Creek, Oceana, Dam Neck, Portsmouth, Yorktown and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Create detailed project budgets and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and control costs, identifying and addressing budget variances.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project milestones.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to address any deviations from quality requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or budget.
- Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and resolve any disputes that may arise.
- Facilitate effective communication between project team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns and issues promptly.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards
