Job Summary:
The Receptionist is required to kindly and professionally answer a high volume of phone calls, determine the purpose of callers, and forward calls to the appropriate personnel and departments, direct guest communication, and assist with processing incoming mail. Tasks include answering the telephone, processing the mail, and performing clerical duties.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous reception or call center experience recommended.
- Possess good language skills using proper grammar and diction.
- Polite, courteous, and professional phone skills.
- Legible handwriting.
- Ability to open, sort, date stamp, and distribute the mail.
- Familiarity with word processing programs.
- Excellent attendance
- Willingness to attend training workshops on customer service/computer skills as necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Perform telephone functions: answer phones, take messages, maintain voice mail, and record voicemail messages.
- Assist with daily mail functions: open, date stamp, sort, and distribute.
- Greet guests and direct them accordingly.
- Type letters, envelopes, and other documents when necessary.
- File as needed.
- Assist other areas or departments as needed.
- Performs special projects and other reasonably related tasks that may be assigned.
Hours Required: 40 per week - Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay Basis: Hourly
