Purpose of job:
Unified Health Services, a leading service provider of the end-to-end management of the worker’s compensation revenue cycle, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Operations Manager position. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations in the Collections and Accounting departments. The Operations Manager will monitor and manage departmental performance, proactively coach, manage and develop the team to achieve goals, implement continuous improvement strategies, and streamline operations regularly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensuring departmental and company goals are met.
This will be accomplished by:
Understanding and promoting company and department goals to the employees.
Reviewing both company and departmental metrics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Managing departmental Supervisors, Team Leads and Admin employees in daily workflow.
Dealing firmly and promptly with performance issues.
Analyzing and improving organizational processes that increase quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Maintaining efficient department staffing levels.
This will be accomplished by:
Effectively hiring, terminating, and retaining employees.
Providing consistent evaluations and feedback to employees regularly.
Strategically manage departmental work allocation based on volume and performance.
Manage developmental plans for all employees with an emphasis on succession planning.
Managing client expectations regarding cash collections and AR management.
This will be accomplished by:
Proactively identifying and resolving client issues.
Working cooperatively with fellow Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents and Owners to produce innovative solutions to enhance performance standards and efficiencies.
Providing effective verbal or written communication to the clients promptly.
Working closely with the peers and upper management.
Duties include:
Implementing process improvements and policies set forth by the Vice President.
Providing feedback to the Vice President and UHS Leadership regarding potential process improvements.
Preparing and presenting departmental performance reports to the Vice President as scheduled.
Collaborate with Department Leadership and SMEs to create/improve process documentation and manage new/existing process documentation through review, document control, and training.
Qualifications
A College degree from an accredited university is required; a business degree is preferred.
Proven work experience in an operation’s management position with a minimum of 3 years’ managing both exempt and non-exempt employees.
Past experience in performance management including training and development, hiring and retention, and implementing process and workflow improvements.
Past experience managing moderate to complex administrative processes.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
