About the Role

We are seeking a Salesforce Senior Functional Solution Architect to join our growing team at Unified Open Intelligence. As a self-starter who can figure things out on your own, you will architect , design , configure , and implement Salesforce solutions that align with strategic business objectives and requirements. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather needs, analyze business processes, and translate them into best-in-class technical solutions. This is a fully remote contract position, offering $90–$95 per hour , for a large product company operating at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Architect & Design Salesforce Solutions
Develop robust Salesforce-based solutions (including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and APIs) that meet business goals and technical standards.
Consultation & Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate business processes, and recommend optimized Salesforce configurations.
Technical Leadership
Lead design sessions, establish best practices for Salesforce development, and mentor team members on coding standards, security, and performance.
Customization & Configuration
Extend and customize Salesforce to meet specific business needs through custom objects, flows, workflows, validation rules, and system integrations.
Integration Management
Design and implement integrations with external systems using REST / SOAP APIs, middleware, and other relevant tools.
Code Quality & Reviews
Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure a high level of quality for all development work.
Optimization & Troubleshooting
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and enhance existing functionality. Troubleshoot complex Salesforce configuration and custom development issues.
Platform Knowledge
Stay current on Salesforce platform updates, releases, and best practices. Provide impact assessment and guidance for necessary system changes.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain clear technical documentation and suggest improvements for ongoing projects and new solutions.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Salesforce Certifications

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I / II, Salesforce Certified Administrator, or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (strongly preferred).

Experience

8 years of experience in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components).

Proven experience architecting and implementing enterprise-level Salesforce solutions.

Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

Experience with integration technologies and patterns (REST / SOAP APIs, middleware, etc.).

Familiarity with version control tools and a collaborative development environment.

Skills & Traits

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently, figure out solutions, and take ownership of deliverables.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) is a plus.
