Job Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone.
- Assist patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by moving through the appointment process
- Comforts patients by anticipating anxieties and concerns, ie communicating wait times
- Politely answering patient questions whether in person or over the phone.
- Transferring calls as required
- Preserving the reception area in a clean and neat state.
- Accurately maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Being comfortable reviewing insurance benefits with patients and collecting copays/coinsurance/deductible responsibilities.
- Verifying patient insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorization as needed.
- Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures.
- Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient focused.

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Receptionist role, required.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD and CPT coding.
- Bilingual speaker (Spanish and English) is a plus!
- Familiarity with a multi-line phone systems.
- Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
