The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in our Distribution Center in Lithia Springs (ATL metro area). The position serves as a consultant to management on all human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service company-wide through the leading and assisting of strategic initiatives that drive overall department and company business objectives. This position is not a remote/work from home opportunity; it is based at the Distribution Center.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs diverse and complex assignments covering a wide area of HR functions (i.e. employee relations, recruiting, benefits, total rewards, workers' compensation, change management, organizational development, and training).
- Establishes a regular cadence of communication with respective business unit leaders in order to improve work relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, including terminations. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assists with overseeing all performance management for employees in the business units, including but not limited to: providing help navigating performance management tools; advising and coaching for all annual reviews.
- Assists with High, Solid, Low (HSL) and competency based performance management and leadership coaching, providing training and consultation as needed.
- Drive employee engagement and retention efforts through skip-level reviews, retention interviews, pulse surveys, employee engagement events, and promotion of the U-Crew.
- Plays a substantial role, in partnership with HR colleagues, in assessing, recommending, implementing, and leading/assisting department and company-wide strategic initiatives and projects that support and drive the overall business strategy.

- Strong advising skills, comprehensive understanding of HR principles, knowledge of State and Federal employment and labor laws, and experience in resolving employee relation issues.
