What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at Unifour Fire & Safety?
Unifour Fire & Safety, a fast paced fire and life safety company, has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Representative who will actively travel to establish and meet with potential customers, present inspection services, build relationships, quoting and closing within the designated sales area of Columbia, SC. Will require extensive knowledge of the inspections and services we offer and strong communication skills to achieve monthly and yearly sales goals and maintain customer satisfaction while utilizing the company designated CRM program.
Key responsibilities include:
Prospecting and lead generation:
- Identifying and contacting potential new clients through networking, cold calling, and other methods to generate sales opportunities.
Customer relationship management:
- Building strong relationships with prospective clients through consistent communications, meeting their needs, and customer service
Quoting/Estimating:
- Conduct site surveys to best estimate inspections and services, quoting these items to potential customers, and quote follow-up
Sales cycle management:
- Managing the sales process in Salesforce CRM program.
Territory management:
- Covering designated Columbia sales area, prioritizing sales opportunities, and managing new customer accounts within that territory.
Market research:
- Staying updated on fire/life safety industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to aid in account capture.
Reporting and analysis:
- Maintain records for bonus opportunities and provide reports to sales director weekly and monthly on sales activities and results.
Required skills for outside sales:
- Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Relationship building: Ability to establish trust and rapport with customers to foster long-term business partnerships.
- Sales acumen: Deep understanding of the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and closing techniques.
- Product knowledge: Experience in the life/safety industry is ideal, providing an in-depth knowledge of the company's products or services to accurately answer customer inquiries and address concerns.
- Schedule Management: Efficiently manage and route out daily sales calls, prioritizing tasks, and meeting sales deadlines.
- Team Focus: Must be a team player and interact positively with office, scheduling, technicians, and other sales staff as needed to achieve overall sales goals.
- Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated to continue the pursuit of yearly sales projections and goals
