Full-Time Residential Professor of Biology
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Residential Professor of Biology to join our team at the Maumee OH campus.
Position Overview:
- Location: Maumee, Ohio campus
- Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 for full-time faculty
- Role: Teach Biology within the Nursing program, including courses like Anatomy and Physiology
Responsibilities:
- Create a positive learning environment for students
- Communicate regularly with students through various channels
- Evaluate student progress and provide individualized tutoring as needed
- Advise students on course-related issues in a timely manner
- Teach assigned courses according to the approved syllabus
- Design effective teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Monitor student attendance and performance throughout the semester
- Record attendance and grades accurately in CAMS
- Maintain up-to-date student resources in CAMS
- Participate actively in faculty meetings and contribute to program improvement studies
- Represent the College positively through professional conduct and interactions
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Biology or a related field
- At least one year of college-level teaching experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- The ability to coordinate assignments and projects independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
