Job Overview :
The Junior Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the efficient movement of materials through the production cycle. This role creates and manages work orders and ensures materials data input and integrity to effectively manage delivery and inventory costs.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Data Management and Integrity
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Team (CFT) members to monitor, control, and report data accuracy and integrity in Inventory Management (IM)
- Verify and analyze part number types, item revision levels, Approved Manufacturer Part Numbers (AMLMPN), lead times, process times, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and other critical data points
2. Demand Planning and ERP Management
Load and create all demand into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemAlign Hierarchical Material Requirements Planning (HMRP) for supply and demand across periodsPrioritize and allocate materials to meet actual demand, including customer build plans, forecasts, and sales orders3. Production Scheduling and Work Order Management
Release Work Order (WO) and Outside Processing (OSP) order schedules and quantitiesManage Material Transfers (MT) and Material Change Requests (MCR) for production and between projects / sitesCoordinate with CFT for Work-In-Progress (WIP) bone pile cleaning and aged Sales Order (SO) & Work Order (WO) closure4. Inventory and Shipping Management
Reserve Finished Goods (FG) inventory and prepare Delivery Notices (DN)Generate SO Pick Release for Warehouse & ShippingOversee and audit inventory transfers and activities across all plants5. What-If Analysis (WIA) and Material Issue Resolution
Conduct WIA for all demand before loading, considering various factors such as production capacity and demand load strategyCoordinate and resolve material issues for various order types through expediting, inventory re-allocation, and other methods6. Production Optimization and Cost Reduction
Maintain constant production flowOptimize resources and inventory for cost reduction7. Reporting and Analysis
Prepare, analyze, and communicate primary periodic reports including demand plan-commit-OTD review, MPS demand trend, and SO Backlog and WIP progressConduct secondary non-periodic reports such as Attrition Comprehensive Review and production gap analysisQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field3-5 years of experience in material planning or supply chain managementProficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional team environmentSalary Range : 66K - 90K / Year
