Job Overview :
The Senior Planner plans, schedules, and coordinates the efficient movement of material through the production cycle, creates and manages work orders and is responsible for materials data input and integrity to effectively manage delivery and inventory costs. Key KPI's are On Time Delivery and Inventory Turns. Reports to Planning Manager. Located at the Unigen Headquarters in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
1. Manage Project Item Master
- Monitor, control and report data accuracy and integrity of the IM : check, analyze and verify part number type (Make / Buy), item revision level, AMLMPN (Approved Manufacturer Part Number), RAW part lead time, make part process time, multilevel material BOM structure, phantom subassembly, OSP (Outside Processing), attrition / Safety Stock (SS), Turnkey (TK) / Consigned (CS) parts, etc.
2. Manage Project Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
3. Manage Project Master Production Scheduling (MPS) from Demand to Ship
4. Perform material What-if-Analysis (WIA) (a.k.a. Before / After Review & Analysis) for demand loading
5. Coordinate the efficient movement of material through the production cycle
6. Monitor MRP Exception Messages
7. Analyze and communicate demand schedule, material data & inventory status
Prepare, analyze and communicate the following secondary non-periodic reports and other items : Attrition Comprehensive Review (attrition consumption-safety stock-demand-run rate), DFM (Design-For-Manufacturing) review for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) raw parts MPN, etc
Other tasks and responsibilities related to Material Planning function as assigned
