What you’ll do:
The Pricing Analyst supports the execution of competitive pricing strategies by analyzing internal and external data to optimize revenue and market positioning. This role collaborates with internal teams, agents, and customers to support pricing solutions, contract negotiations, and maintain pricing programs. By leveraging data-driven insights, the analyst supports pricing alignment with business objectives while supporting the agency network and various business lines (i.e. residential, National Accounts, commercial, military (DoD), and government (GSA).
Conducts research and compiles pricing data for support rate development while assessing market pricing and seeking guidance for complex evaluations
Assists in the development and implementation of management reporting tools to support pricing, revenue analysis, and rate trends
Conducts market pricing research and provides analysis to inform competitive pricing strategies and alternative rate structures
Supports pricing initiatives by analyzing data, providing insights, and assisting in the development of pricing solutions
Utilizes business intelligence and data analysis tools (i.e. Tableau, QlikSense, SQL, ThroughSpot, and Snowflake) to generate reports, visualizations, and pricing models that support leadership decision-making
Monitors data quality and ensures accuracy in reporting and analysis of all pricing related information
Assists in analyzing key performance indicators related to pricing and revenue performance to optimize pricing strategies
Responds to inquiries regarding pricing structures, ensuring accuracy and clarity
Contributes to pricing improvement initiatives by conducting supporting analysis and presenting findings to management
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent related experience
2-3 years of relevant work experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data from multiple sources to drive business insights
Expert-level proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or QlikSense (preferred) to present actionable insights
A solid foundation in transportation or logistics, with the ability to support strategic pricing approaches
Creative problem-solving skills to design load selection strategies and tackle complex pricing challenges
The ability to handle agent pushback while ensuring pricing recommendations align with business objectives
Strong collaboration skills, working effectively across multiple internal and external teams
A team-oriented mindset, understanding that pricing decisions require cross-functional input
Excellent communication skills to present ideas persuasively and influence stakeholders
High attention to detail to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance
