Your Role: What You’ll Do
As a Forklift Operator, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations by ensuring the accurate, safe, and timely movement of products:
- Operate forklifts to load/unload trucks and organize materials in the yard using an e-tablet
- Complete daily equipment maintenance checklists
- Maintain accurate inventory with proper paperwork (transfers, scrap, pallet returns)
- Identify and re-strap broken bundles; help keep the yard clean and orderly
- Rotate stock based on production dates and schedules
- Monitor product quality and report any issues
- Deliver excellent customer service with a helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly attitude
- Support process improvements and participate in cycle counts and year-end inventory
- Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- 2 years of forklift experience (external forklift experience a plus)
- Ability to pass Unilock’s forklift licensing test
- Familiarity with 5,000 – 10,000 lb. forklifts preferred
- Comfort with physical work: lifting up to 50 lbs., repetitive motion, standing/stooping
- Ability to read shipping documents and perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail (especially with product types, colors, and configurations)
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills
- Basic computer/tablet skills
- Reliable attendance is a must
