We are currently hiring for a Forklift Operator.
This position is eligible for a SIGN-ON BONUS OF $1,500
What you’ll do
SAFETY:
- Operate their equipment in a safe and non-abusive manner.
QUALITY CONTROL:
- Inspects all packages of product to be loaded onto a truck or being pulled off the plant line(s) and reports to the Yard Supervisor or the Shift Supervisor all packaging deficiencies, missing bundle tags, and any other quality problems.
OPERATIONS :
- Performs the daily maintenance checklist for the forklift(s)
- Load trucks promptly and properly according to shipping documents
- Pulls finished product from the plant production lines and stores the material in the yard according to company procedures
- Store material to ensure proper stock rotation
- Picks up and/or cleans up and restraps any broken bundles in the yard
- Participates in monthly inventory counts
REPORTING:
- Daily equipment checklist
- Any safety or mechanical issues with the equipment
- Shipping documents used to load trucks
HOUSEKEEPING :
- The general cleanliness and tidiness of the yard and work areas
OTHER DUTIES
- Additional duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, or Plant Manager
EXPERIENCE - Previous forklift experience
