About Unilode
Unilode owns and manages the world’s largest fleet of approximately 160,000 unit load devices (ULDs), for use in the aviation industry, and owns and operates the largest global network for the maintenance and repair of ULDs and inflight food service equipment. Unilode provides management, repair, short term leasing and digitalization solutions to over 90 airlines through a network of more than 550 airports, 18 regional offices and 50 certified repair stations, supported by 800 employees.
Position
This position reports to the People Director of Operations and will provide strategic and tactical support in the Americas Region with a strong focus on optimising the people experience and implementing a solid HR framework. This position will support a large hourly workforce.
You will mainly accountable for:
- Anticipating needs and proactively recommending solutions.
- Coach operations business leaders on people-related matters to optimize their leadership capabilities.
- Play a key role in business restructures and critical workforce planning initiatives in the region.
- Lead regional colleague engagement initiatives and produce action planning from colleague feedback through inclusive communication.
- Guide management in the application and interpretation of employment laws or regulations and HR policies and practices (e.g., corrective action, attendance) to help support workplace issues.
- Support on a variety of HR projects as needed.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders within the organization.
Qualifications for this role:
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines; including but not limited to compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws/regulations.
- Experience providing HR support for multiple states and/or countries is advantageous.
- University degree in relevant or related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Coaching and influencing management ability.
- Experience working with a large hourly workforce.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize workload and solve problems
- Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bi-Lingual Spanish highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to details in addition to analytical and problem solving ability
- The ability to travel throughout the Americas region as and when required.
