Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Treasury Services
The AVP of Treasury Services is responsible for the sales support and delivery of Treasury Management products to new and existing commercial clients, with a strong focus on growing treasury services. This individual will lead their team to achieve excellence in service delivery and productivity, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and results. They will also be responsible for their own performance in developing and closing qualified referrals, as well as effectively managing referrals sent to them. A strong command of the Pinnacle/EOS system for task completion and quality will be essential for success. Preferred but not required, this expertise is highly appealing. Candidates with experience using Fiserv Premier are preferred but not required, and familiarity with community bank operations is highly desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Leadership & Team Development
•Serve as a mentor and resource for Treasury Management Associates and Universal Bankers.
•Coach, motivate, and develop team members to achieve their full potential and exceed performance targets.
•Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the team.
Team Support & Collaboration
•Assist Treasury Management Associates and Universal Bankers with client calling efforts, including preparing comparative analyses and supporting Request for Proposals (RFPs).
•Facilitate training sessions for lenders, business development, trust team, and retail staff on the benefits and applications of treasury products.
•Work closely with the Chief Deposit Officer to manage special projects and staff time management.
Sales & Client Engagement
•Consult with prospective and existing clients to assess cash management and other banking product needs.
•Provide on-site or virtual visits for the installation of services sold, where applicable.
•Deliver product recommendations and cost analyses to clients based on comprehensive needs assessments.
Referral Management
•Identify and send qualified referrals to internal and external partners.
•Actively follow up and close on qualified referrals sent to you, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational objectives.
Client Satisfaction & Support
•Conduct follow-up calls with commercial clients to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
•Act as a liaison between commercial clients and operations during the early stages of the relationship.
•Serve as the primary contact for Treasury Management clients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Risk Management & Compliance
•Collaborate with management to implement ongoing risk assessment processes.
•Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of BSA/AML and other compliance training.
•Participate in committees or groups that influence product offerings related to commercial services.
Operational Excellence
•Leverage the systems to manage tasks efficiently, ensuring high completion rates and quality outcomes.
•Make decisions and resolve operational issues under the direction of senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; equivalent experience in banking will be considered.
•4 years of relevant work experience, with a proven aptitude for developing new business relationships.
•Familiarity with cash management and account analysis, including treasury management operations.
•Experience with electronic products such as online banking, remote deposit capture, ACH origination, and positive pay services.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
•Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and web-based applications.
