The Retail Branch Manager is responsible for the oversight of all retail operations of a branch office, in coordination with the Sr. Vice President and Branch Manager, with a primary emphasis on deposits and customer service activities. What will I do?
Provide support in the management of a branch location under the supervision and direction of the Vice President and Branch Manager.Assist the VP and Branch Manager with managing overall branch office operations and assist with direct supervision of Retail staff.Serve as backup for the Vice President in his or her absence; this includes expanded management responsibility ensuring the efficient operation and supervision of all branch employees during the Officer's absence.Deliver consistent exceptional customer service by displaying sincere, outgoing friendliness.Meet with customers to discuss personal and business banking financial needs; accurately open new accounts including Checking, Savings, Time Deposit, IRAs, Safe deposit boxes, and sign-up customers for e-services including internet banking, bill pay and e-statement.Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and service, including digital services and delivery options; support customer usage of products and services that will provide the services they need in the manner most convenient for them.Work closely with the Vice President / Retail Banking to maintain appropriate branch cash to include teller drawers, cash recyclers, dispensers, and vaults within established limits.Maintain primary accountability for the vault, which includes balancing, receiving reports of outages, and oversee direct appropriate action plans because of any outage; delegate to appropriate staff, as necessary.Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA / AML Program, as applicable to one's job duties.Remain fully informed on recent changes to regulations and policy updates and procedures.Uphold the bank's philosophy, policies, and standard procedures by maintaining appropriate controls to assure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of the bank.Test branch security equipment and investigates security issues when needed.Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff.Ensure staff has the needed tools to deliver exceptional customer service levels and further enhance employee enrichment.Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.Ensure equipment used at the branch is functioning as needed and reports any malfunctions as necessary.Identify opportunities to sell additional financial products such as consumer loans.Actively attend community events to positively promote Union Bank, while building relationships with customers and prospects.Perform routine Teller duties as needed.Attend various weekly and monthly meetings and communicate appropriately.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.Associates degree or bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.Minimum two years of experience in a retail banking environment or equivalent related work experience preferred.Previous supervisory / management experience preferred.Sound like the right place for you?
