The AVP Retail Leader / Consumer Lender is responsible for overseeing branch operations, managing and growing a portfolio of loans, and driving business development through outside sales and community involvement. This role plays a key part in expanding the market, supervising branch staff, achieving deposit growth goals, and collaborating with senior leadership to establish a strong banking presence.

WHAT WILL I DO?
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the teller and CSR staff.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor branch performance, including sales, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of consumer loans.
- Evaluate loan applications, assess creditworthiness, and make lending decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing financial solutions tailored to their needs.
- Monitor loan performance, follow up on delinquencies, and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with leadership to establish and grow the bank's presence in the market.
- Engage in outside sales efforts to attract new customers and deepen existing relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies for deposit growth and loan expansion.
- Actively participate in community involvement, networking events, and local organizations to enhance visibility.
- Assist in hiring, training, and developing branch staff.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to team members, ensuring high performance and engagement.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment aligned with the bank's mission and values.
- Collaborate with senior management to execute strategic initiatives for market expansion.
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs to drive growth.
- Prepare and present reports on branch performance, loan portfolio health, and business development activities.
- Oversee branch operations with the potential to manage multiple branches as the market grows.
- Develop and implement scalable processes to support future branch expansion.
- Serve as a key leader in driving the bank's long-term success in the market.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Advanced training or certifications in banking, lending, or management are preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in retail banking, with a strong background in branch operations and leadership is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in lending is required. Proven experience in business development, sales, and expanding market presence, with demonstrated success in meeting deposit growth and loan production goals is required.
