Our specialized hand therapy program serves a diverse patient population and maintains strong relationships with local hand surgeons and referring physicians. We're searching for a forward-thinking and energetic Occupational Therapist ready to make a difference in patients' lives!
Requirements :
- Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions, including post-surgical cases, traumatic injuries, repetitive stress injuries, and chronic conditions
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals
- Fabricate custom orthoses / splints for various upper extremity conditions
- Perform detailed initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patient progress using standardized testing and evidence-based outcome measures
- Document patient care in accordance with clinical standards, insurance requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers
- Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, activity modifications, and injury prevention
- Maintain current knowledge of hand therapy techniques and best practices through continuing education
