What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Technician position at Union County Public Schools?
Under general supervision, the HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair ventilation, air conditioning and environmental control systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Install, maintain and repair a variety of HVAC components and equipment, i.e. compressors, duct work, control circuits, distribution systems, etc., through various methods of skilled work.
2. Perform preventive maintenance, i.e. Clean, lubricate and service, through inspection and testing of heating refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning, including hot water and forced air heating and ventilation systems.
3. Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, i.e. school administration, regarding work order requests, preventive maintenance and repairs.
4. Adjust and balance distribution systems to achieve maximum energy efficiency
