SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Coordinates logistics, supplies, volunteers and at times provides leadership to Youth Outreach programs and events, including summer camp. Serves as assistant to the Youth Outreach Director in performing administrative duties and development of programs. Upholds and supports the vision and direction of the Youth Outreach Department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Knows volunteer application and training process and is trained to equip their volunteers for purposefulKnows how to cast the vision of the Youth Outreach Department to volunteersOversees the progress of the volunteers' effectiveness and satisfaction in the prescribed volunteer positionCoordinates schedules for Youth Outreach volunteersRegularly communicates with volunteersAssists the Youth Outreach Director in interviewing Summer CampIn partnership with the Youth Outreach Director, creates and facilitates training of volunteersProvides personal support and encouragement to maintain communication with and buy-in of volunteersIn partnership with the Youth Outreach Director, operates and leads the recruitment process for staff and volunteersKey Result Area #3 : Financial, Administrative, Operations
In partnership with the Youth Outreach Director, develops, creates and updates manuals and processes for departmentIn partnership with the Youth Outreach Director, processes reimbursement requests, invoices, credit card receipts and other financial paperwork for Youth Outreach programsTracks and reports all Youth Outreach statisticsProvides administrative and on-site support to the Youth Outreach Director for summer campingIn partnership with the Youth Outreach Director, provides regular stories and updates to the Development DepartmentIn partnership with the Youth Outreach Director, facilitates the operations of the Youth Outreach social media accountsIn partnership with the Youth Outreach Director, maintains, organizes operations and function of the Youth Outreach office and suppliesSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
Committed Christian, able and willing to model servant-leadership and interested in being part of a ministry for the poor, homeless, drug addicted and mentally ill. Grounded in the Christian faith as a mature, active member of the body of Christ. In accordance with Union Gospel Mission Statement of Purpose, Statement of Vision and Statement of FaithStrong Interpersonal skills - exercise compassion and discernment while modeling the teachings of Jesus ChristAble and willing, as a unified team member, to honor the leadership, chain of command, and standards and ministry objectives of Union Gospel MissionComputer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365, UKG Human resources, Virtuous CRM); able to complete documents, reports and accurately record information.
