We are looking to add a Nurse Practitioner to join our Palliative Care Team! The Palliative Care Provider is part of a multidisciplinary team that focuses on improving the quality of life of people with serious, life-limiting illnesses through symptom management, support, and shared medical decision-making. Along with Physicians, Palliative Care Nurses, Social Workers and Chaplains, they help manage patients with high symptom burden, poor quality of life, psychosocial distress, and/or complex advanced care planning needs in the inpatient setting.

Nurse Practitioner job details:
Position Details:
- Full time
- 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday,
- No Weekends
- No Call
- Previous Palliative Care or Hospital Medicine preferred
Essential Job Duties:
- Conducts physical examinations and preventive health measures as per physician's guidance.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to evaluate patient's healthcare needs.
- Documents findings, formulates treatment plans, and collaborates with healthcare team for comprehensive care.
- Submits patient healthcare plans for periodic review by physicians.
- Prescribes medications, recommends therapies, and refers patients to specialists as necessary while ensuring compliance with regulations and professional ethics.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited MSN program
- Must have Indiana RN license.
- Must have active APRN/CSR license or be eligible for licenses.
License/Certification:
- BLS certification
