Description
As an Escrow Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Escrow Officers in curing title issues, order entry, auditing files, reviewing lender documents and other duties as assigned. This is a very fast-paced environment with extremely high volumes of e-mail and telephone correspondence.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- The assistant is required to assist the officer on all the files, including funding and closing of all transactions
- Open and receipt in all new escrows.
- Order payoffs and other invoices per the contract
- Must be able to effectively read a contract and a title commitment.
- Must be able to prepare estimated closing statements for buyer and seller.
- Must be able to assist lenders with their funding and closing conditions.
- Enter all pertinent information for clients.
- Cover the desk in the absence of the officer.
- Must perform customer service and clerical functions to assist all parties involved in the escrow process.
- Disbursement of files
- Reviewing and responding to title policy issues
- Review Title Commitments for potential title issues
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of office/administrative experience
- Experience in a related real estate or title/escrow field is a plus
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the aptitude of social perceptiveness and being an active listener
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Anticipate problems before they arise
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the title industry field
- Good client relations and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
