The RN's in the NICU play a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health.
Union Hospital's 15-bed, Level III NICU is the largest in a 70-mile radius and was the first NICU in the state. Sometimes problems arise that require a newborn to be hospitalized. When this happens, the baby will be admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for treatment. The NICU at Union Hospital is recognized throughout the region for its exceptional approach to providing superior and compassionate care. More importantly, it has touched the lives of thousands of families since it opened in 1968. Parents continually thank our NICU staff for the exemplary care given to their infants and the emotional support given to their families.

RN Job Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Collaborates with the physician or manager to determine needs of patients
- Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
- Contributes to plan of care for pre-defined patient problems.
- Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
- Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
- Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
- Assists the physician with special procedures.
- Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program
- Must have Indiana RN license
- Previous RN experience preferred
- BLS certification
- IN RN license
