The Unit Secretary is a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health.
The Critical Care team operates a 24-bed unit equipped with advanced monitoring technology and staffed by specialized professionals. They provide intensive care to critically ill patients, including those with traumatic injuries, life-threatening conditions, post-operative cases, and complex medical conditions, with a particular emphasis on open-heart surgery patients.

Unit Secretary Essential Job Duties :
Consults with the registered nurse regarding unit activities.
Answers telephone. Relays messages to appropriate person. Notifies RN of diagnostic test results communicated as abnormal.
Enters patient laboratory and x-ray orders into the computer.
